Holy Thursday Service

Join us on Holy Thursday, March 24 at 7:00 pm, for a special communion service. Through a dramatic reading of "And There Were Twelve," worshipers will learn something of the characteristics of each disciple. Worshipers will also be able to experience the Last Supper through they eyes of each person seated at the table with Jesus. This will be a very moving service that you do not want to miss.

Manly Monday Update

God’s presence was felt at our first Manly Monday event. A total of 56 men from several area churches enjoyed an awesome time of food, fellowship, and worship. Thank you so much to all of those who stepped up to help set-up, tear down, heat- up pizza and clean up afterwards. You are a blessing! Thank you also to the ladies of the church who provided our desserts and drinks. And thank you Robert Johnson for getting our pizza. A huge thank you goes out to Jeff Black and his fine crew of musicians who led us in worship. This was only the beginning of our Manly Monday gatherings. Keep your eyes open for our next scheduled event.

Manly Monday (February 29)

Men of Sardis! I am excited about our upcoming Manly Monday. We are looking forward to an awesome meal, worship and devotional time. Robert Johnson is helping us out by providing us with pizza. The United Methodist Women are helping provide desserts, tea and water and Jeff Black is putting together a wonderful group of musicians that will lead us in some praise and worship. We are needing your help in some very critical areas:

1. Make your commitment now to be there

2. Wear a Sardis UMC shirt so as to be visible to our guests who may have questions or need directions

3. Share this event and invite other men to attend

4. Pray, pray and then pray some more that this will be an event filled with impact, power and the blessing of the Holy Spirit.

We will be needing some help setting up tables and chairs in the Family Life Center. So, if you can come early and lend a hand it would be great. The event kicks off at 7 pm. We will eat first in the FLC and then head over to the Sanctuary for praise, worship and devotion. See you on the 29th!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Destination mission

Kids in grades 3rd-6th grades are invited to participate in destination mission March 20th-23rd. Kids from all over the state will gather for 3 days of worship, serving, and fun in the Little Rock area. The cost is $150 and includes housing, food and everything needed for this trip. Some funding will be available to offset cost.

This is an “away from home” event, even though we will be in Little Rock. Message Jessica Butler for more details.

Hallelujah night

We are easing into fall around the church! We need your help planning and preparing for our annual Hallelujah night. We need LOTS of candy! You can drop your donations off at the church welcome center. We also need volunteers! We would love for you or your group to host a game or activity! If that isn’t your thing, you can also volunteer in the kitchen or clean up crew.
